GP Supervisor Course

The pathway to becoming a clinical supervisor (F2 supervisor) and/or educational supervisor (GP trainer) in London now involves attending the GP Supervisor Course. Further details can be found on our website Health Education England.

We don’t have details yet of further courses. However, please let us know if you would like us to retain your contact details so that you are contacted when further courses are available.

Please note that in order to apply for approval as a GP clinical supervisor a GP needs to be two years post-CCT and to apply for approval as a GP educational supervisor a GP needs to be three years post-CCT. Accordingly, it is a requirement that attendees have completed two years post-CCT before attending the course. Attendees are also required to be in a substantive GP post in London (salaried GP or partner working a minimum of 4 clinical sessions a week).

Information on the pathway to becoming an educator in primary care in London, including FAQs, can be found in the GP Educator Pathway document on our website School of General Practice”.
